The Bowling Club was rocking last night. We walked Into the middle of a fun Trivia Night. The Nutty Nursese won with the Half a Brain team a close second. I didn’t dare to buy tickets in the meat raffle this time. There is no room in the fridge should I win a tray!
It is Norm’s birthday today and we are already back on the road.
LATER– we detoured into Port Macquarie BCF to buy a pair of trecking poles for all that exploring we plan to do. Whilst there we paused at a handy café for lunch, where the salt & pepper shakers took my fancy.

Newee Creek – we were greeted by a very excited Little Wally who ran around in circles barking hello then pausing for the occasional lick. Narelle was more circumspect, greeting us with a Hug. We relaxed together out on the fabulous verandah catching up with a cuppa. Later, once Pete arrived home from the Rose Garden with a gorgeous bunch of roses, we settled down beside the cosy Chininee as rhe sun set, watching the evening stars and passing satelites brighten up the evening sky.
Narelle served a yummy feast of melt in the mouth lamb shanks followed by the most delicious orange cake I have ever tasted. We certainly celebrated Norm’s birthday in a grand manner.
