20 – 21 June
On Sunday morning, Bruce & Judi took us for a drive down to Potts Point and back along the coast to Kingscliff. At the Surf Club, we paused for lunch, which we enjoyed up on the deck overlooking the beach.
It was a great day, great food and great memories shared with great mates.
On Monday Norm and I visited my cousin Val, and her two sons, David and Tony up at Elanora. We had originally tried to catch up with Val last year just when COVID first descended upon us and we were denied access over the Queensland border. It was so nice to finally spend time together. It was Val’s birthday on 18 June, so we were able to celebrate it just a little late. Val had a most exquisite rose from her garden, which we both think might be a ‘President Lincoln’. The petals were like dark red velvet and it had a very delicate purfume.

Rose had stayed home with Bruce, Judi and Coco. She is wearing a special collar to stop her from licking her feet, so I imagine that she has been feeling rather put out by the restrictions is causes her. I don’t think that Coco laughed at her too much, although she did look a little unimpressed when we got back to Banora Point.

Coco rolling with laughter?
