After a wet night today dawned grey and gloomy. Rosie and I managed a short damp walk in light rain.
We met up with the grandies and family for lunch at the Auckland House, Brewpub which is located right on the waterfront near the Cruise Terminal. I enjoyed relaxing with the ‘kids’ and sharing stories with them. Ayla gave me more of the cutest heart thumping smiles while Parker bonded with Rosie under the table. He then showed me what a little pocket rocket he is on his bike (no training wheels for this pro😁).
Norm and I explored the top of Mount Auckland in the afternoon. The views over Gladstone and the harbour were spectacular. There were swallows soaring in the air around us and beautiful tropical noisy minors with vivid blue caps and olive green wings seeking out sweet nectar.
