Norm and I popped into the ancient old Shakespeare pub in town, after he finished installing the new battery yesterday. With heavy rain on the way we only had time for one beer. We enjoyed chatting with one of the regulars at the bar, as well as the young manager/bar man, Blake. The locals fondly refer to the pub as ‘The Shakey’. That could just as easily be a comment on the creaks and groans of the old floorboards as the name itself. I came across an interesting article in which a couple of resident ghosts are claimed.

We had planned to move on to the Lara Wetlands today. However following the heavy rain last night, the road in has been closed. Instead we have stayed put here at the Showground and caught up with washing and shopping and pottering as well as lazing in the sun.
