29 -30 JULY
Yesterday was rather uneventful. We had to drop the Patrol off early at R. J. Motors to have the air bags replaced in the suspension. Rob, the owner dropped us back in town at about 8.30, so we grabbed the opportunity to have our hair cut at the Barber Shack. I think I now have shorter back and sides than Norm, however it will be a breeze to keep tidy and also just a breeze….

On Friday Rosie and I walked back along the river, enjoying the birdsong and the sounds of the water bubbling over the rocks. There was a beautiful mist rising as the sun came up, and the reflections were amazing.
This morning we returned to Tony’s memorial to tidy it up. I am very happy with the result , and feeling a little more at peace.
It is a long weekend coming up here in the Territory, so it was rather a s..t fight at the supermarket, doing battle with the hoards all intent on emptying the shelves faster than the staff were able to restock them. Fortunately most people maintained their senses of humour, and adopted ‘Territory’ time – no watches required. IT will happen, eventually.
Back home in camp it was time for us to start packing up in preparation for our last leg of the outward journey – to Coomalie.
