NSW AT LAST!!!
We have finally arrived back in our home state after 4 months away. After driving across the Murray to the ‘other side’: Victoria, we wanted to slink through that small section of the state and safely into NSW. We did have our completed border entry passes, and proof of our vaccinations, but somehow we anticipated some sort of drama.
As we entered Victoria I was struck by a strong emotional conflict that came over me. Thoughts of David and Karen, and my grandchildren, Ryan and Abbi filled my mind. I was so near and could easily be in Melbourne in a day. I felt so sad that I could not grab this chance to see them.
Surprisingly (or was it disappointingly?) there was no one in the least bit interested in us or our passes as we drove straight into Victoria. It was only 130 kilometres of Victoria that we had to drive through before crossing over the NSW Border.

Euston NSW The Ambling Austins have arrived
We planned to stay a night or two at the free camp beside the Murrumbidgee River at the Balranald Weir. As soon as we drove in we both loved it so much, that we decided to stay 3 nights!. It was such a delight to relax beside our first camp fire since Camoweal.
EARLY MORNING BESIDE THE ‘BIDGEE
HANGING OUT BY THE ‘BIDGEE
This morning before packing up and moving on, I spent a little last quiet time beside the morning reflections, with my Tony on my mind. I sent a small white feather floating down on the river, my darling boy in my thoughts and prayers.
